The book ’A Sacramental Army’ was written with two purposes in mind: to present the non-sacramental position of The Salvation Army and to explain the practice in a Nordic, primarily Lutheran, setting. It does this by remaining faithful to the Army's holiness theology, showing its relevance to Nordic culture. General John Larsson (R) in his foreword calls the book 'groundbreaking' and commends it 'to all Salvationists and friends of the Army in Nordic countries and beyond'.
